Keke's Nails was my final independent project. Long fake nails are often seen as ghetto, however they used to be status symbol and go back as far as Qing Dynasty in China. This piece is in appreciation of fake nails and draws juxtaposition between the ghetto salons of today and the jewelled nails guards of the past.
